I bought this tape recorder based on reviews. I bought it refurbished for recording and I understand there are risks. My ghetto blaster was a hit. This was without the additional items listed in the description such as CD cleaner and batteries. It worked flawlessly and is as described it will be. Aside from the lack of the mentioned extras, my real frustration was the sound. I expected from previous reviews that the sound, while not great, would at least be good with "dynamic bass". I would call it reasonable at best. I love the bells and whistles, but the soundbar really sucked. PS: I don't think the sound quality has anything to do with the repair. There was no distortion at all from the small speakers.
