I originally bought this music player to keep in my car while connected to my stereo with the USB cable in my console. I wanted a music player with a menu system that would allow me to select music by playlist, artist, etc. When it arrived I was pleased to find that the device had a menu selection system and shuffle mode. The downside was that the playlist option was at the bottom of the selection list and you had to scroll down the list before you could select that option. I'd prefer to have it on top or to the side as that's the feature I use the most. I loaded the player with music, selected my playlist and "Shuffle" mode, and plugged it into USB. On the player screen, the options "Load and transfer" or "Load and play" were flashing, I chose the latter. I quickly realized that the songs played sequentially, not randomly, and contained songs that weren't in the playlist. I went to check if it was in shuffle mode and was surprised to find that I was locked out of the menu system. I had to unplug the USB cable to access it. It was in random mode. Conclusion: when the player is connected to USB, it locks the menu system, ignores your settings and ignores the playlist. On the plus side, the player is lightweight, the body is solid and works well as a battery-powered personal player. Mode.
