Review on AMSCOPE KIDS M30 ABS KT1 W 120X 240X 300X 480X 600X 1200X Educational Biological by Rory Stice

As a microbiologist I thought this would make a fun gift for my 7 year old nephew. Unfortunately, this entire scope is made of flexible plastic, which slightly interrupts the light path. As a result, half of the field of view is permanently black (due to the irregular light path). This happens with regular scopes when the turret is misaligned, but you can't fix that with this cheap flex scope. For almost 50€ I expected more. Real scopes can be bought for $200 versus that $50 crap. Even some slide-size scopes that attach to a cellphone are cheaper. It was a gift so I can't return it. Too bad I opened it before the gift.
