My first panini maker. I eat sandwiches at least 4 times a week. I'm a big man and I usually buy a loaf of sourdough and make 2-3 sandwiches out of it. Just made my 4th sandwich today (bought yesterday). After reading how to put food on bread (on the internet) and or what to use. MAN that last sandwich was amazing! I recommend using olive oil instead of butter (healthier and makes the bread crispy rather than a bit soggy - I used pre-sliced sourdough). If you're using tomatoes or something watery, place those foods in the middle of the sandwich, not on top. This will prevent one side of the bread from becoming soggy from the large amount of liquid. My sandwiches were turkey, ham, salami, provolone, pesto and either tomato or jalapeno. My only downside with this product is the image of what they advertise and what is on the packaging. With this bread you will never get two sandwiches on this grill! It's not that it's that small, you just can't fit 2 regular sliced sourdough appetizers or equivalent sandwiches on the grilling area. I'm not deducting a star for that. I am very happy with my purchase.
