Review on ๐ŸŽง Sennheiser IE60 Hi-Fi In-Ear Headphone by Chase Hosea

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good generalists! INFLUENCE! fur cord.

I have to start this review by saying these are my first good headphones but before that I listened to budget to mid-range full size headphones I had or heard from friends (HD558, CB-1, M40X, K182, MDR-1ABT, HE-400i and K7XX). I'm not a very respected audio reviewer with years of experience, but I've heard and enjoyed a few different banks, so I'm writing this review as a medium-budget audio enthusiast. They are made entirely of plastic but are well built, more than good for everyday use. Unlike the CB-1, which can break any day (and broke after a few months). The cable is included, which is exactly what you'd expect from budget IEMs and headphones, apart from the fact that it's a 90-degree connector (which might be a coincidence for some). There are no problems with the cable, but know your habits. If you're breaking cords no matter what you do, do yourself a favor and get something with a detachable cord. Because the cord is normal, it is easy to get tangled, so be aware of that. Sonically, they are amazing! They sound natural, but not as relaxing as some would like you to believe. Put it all the way in your ear and equalize the bass and it will REALLY blow the minds of heavy metal artists like Metallica. Or you can place them so they barely touch your ear, leave the EQ alone and listen to classic romance like Mozart. They won't play the classics as well as my 558 IMO but they do and I really enjoy them for the classics. To be honest, I don't think that full-size headphones in this price range can compete with the IE60 in terms of effectiveness. But you can really personalize the sound with the equalizer, they're really good for that. They're neutral, but in-ears inherently have more bass because they're closer to the ear, and even with no EQ, the IE60 is no exception. You can really feel the bass drums. They really have a decent soundstage and picture! It's not like it goes straight left and right, it sounds natural and they have a decent soundstage. Obviously not as good as my HD558s, but REALLY good for IEMs. You can see the included accessories in the photos (except for the Comply foam tips which I received separately) but I threw away the earring stuff because it didn't fit my ears, but I got the picture from the manual for all who cares. Also, they fit you better if you connect them with the cable facing up like the picture, but they still work normally for those a little intimidated by the IEM's "audiophile" style.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
