I find it positive that it technically turns on and rotates. The speed is adjustable to an extent, and you can choose which direction it spins. You can also stop and start it remotely, and you can set it to rotate 45, 90, and 180 degrees. BUT you CANNOT press the 45 degree button so it just rotates 45 degrees and stops. Instead it rotates 45 degrees and then rotates 45 degrees BACK TO THE OTHER SIDE rendering it useless for any job. It can be a great display piece but NOT SUITABLE FOR PHOTO/VIDEO WORKS. The only way to rotate it a bit and then stop is to use the '1 degree' key which (as expected) rotates it one degree and that's it. BUT, it spins very quickly and turning the motor on and off causes a TON of shaking, as if the whole thing bounces around a bit because there's no damping at all under acceleration. So you press a button and the table twitches by one degree. And you have to press the button a few times to get the right angle, so it's just 20 or 30 little jumps and jerks shaking the object around. For context, I wanted to use this for 3D scanning - with a stepper motor. , I could rotate the object a certain amount and scan top to bottom, then rotate again and scan again. This turntable CANNOT do what I would expect from a $130 something, at least for this one. It even has a button that specifically BOILS that it should go into step mode, but it doesn't toggle. It just sucks. STOP this nonsense.
