After 2 months of limited use one of the legs broke off at the base. It looks like a clean break and when I took a closer look I noticed how weak the legs are. The metal has very little flexibility, despite being advertised as a "flexible" tripod, and it's very thin. I used it every day for about 2 weeks without adjustment and it worked great. This could be a great article for that very purpose. If you want to close it and take it with you, make regular adjustments, or even wrap the legs around something to keep it stable, it's going to break. You might be lucky if you get a month of good usage, and that with very careful usage. Contact support as it looks like there is a 2 year warranty but to be honest the legs are so flimsy it looks like they are outdated. : Getting the replacement base was pretty painless. 2 emails and a photo of the broken part and I received a replacement in about a week. The replacement is holding up well and appears to be much better leading me to believe I just received a defective tip. It happens and I'm glad they got it right in no time. The rating has been updated. Last update: After a year of use about a dozen times, the replacement leg broke off, again in the same place as before. Very easy to use and this appears to be a design flaw of the product. The price was cheap, so I'm not surprised that the design is cheap too. Be careful if you expect regular use or longevity.
