Review on Enhanced Satin Chrome Kickdown Door Stop - National Hardware N273-557 V239, 5 Inch by Cynthia Guarente

I need at least a five inch door stay. All local hardware stores, including Home Depot and Lowes, only sell 4-inch door hangers in this price range, usually under $5. Most 5" and larger door stays are commercial quality, cost 3-4 times as much, and are overkill for my intended use on a very light patio door. I took this item out of the box and immediately noticed that it would not stay upright. No problem with the metal itself but the design to stay upright is poor and corners obviously cut off, using a small piece of sheet metal for this purpose has little effect. The second part, the "rod" that connects the holder to the mounting base, is cheaply made and resembles an inferior rivet. I didn't even bother to install this item. Not even worth the shipping cost to return. You get what you pay for. Update: You have purchased Solid Brass Satin Nickel Finished Door Holder 5 on this page. Works well. See my review.
