Loved the ability to adjust brightness and color through the smartphone app. We used them as soft lighting for our 2 month old's changing table so we could see what we were doing without making the room too bright at night. The problem is that these lights sometimes change color or even flash very brightly without any instructions from us! Scared us all, even the half-sleeping child. Formerly half asleep. The app doesn't connect right away either, so you have to open the app, wait for it to connect, and then you can use it. It also prevents having two apps open at the same time to connect. For example, if my app was open on my phone, my wife wouldn't be able to open her app and connect at the same time.
