Revainrating 5 out of 5

High fidelity, fantastic microphone, sound isolation, exceptional comfort, high reliability. an increase from Gaming Zero

TLDR is that I switched to them from GAME ZERO (it was Razer hardware before) and the GSP 600 combined with the GSX 1000 is literally the highest precision in games , and there is a noticeable improvement. It's heavier, but when adjusted properly it's very comfortable and the noise-cancellation is excellent. The only real downside is the price. Don't forget to manually enable 7.1 through your computer's audio controls. Accuracy It's amazing, in games like Fortnite I can tell where there are airdrops in a building or when someone sees me and tries to get around to attack me. I know exactly where they are. While playing OW, I was able to determine the location and direction of Hanzo's ult and dodge it before I saw it. It has literally become my most powerful tool in every FPS I play. Comfort I've tried many headsets and Sennheiser are almost always the most comfortable. This headset is heavier due to the metal connections that add to its durability, but it's still quite comfortable once you set it up. Just make sure you use the top contact adjuster to adjust the headband (too low is too much pressure and causes fatigue, too much is no contact and causes earcup overload). It's not hot or sweaty here, you can use this for hours without feeling that annoying/sore feeling on your head that some headsets cause. Just make sure you adjust the headband correctly after adjusting the ears to the correct length. Microphone I had people on discord and now the twitch chat told me my mic is amazing. Best story and extreme price/product difference, my buddy had a cheap 7.1 headset and it was annoying to listen to. It could get almost painfully loud or too quiet, and I wasn't the only one complaining, I was the only one hearing it all the time. I convinced him to switch and oh my god it feels so good to my ears. Ironically, he doesn't sound remotely tearful. I never met him in person, but it changed the way I see him. Noise Reduction This is incredibly well done. My wife has to pat me on the shoulder instead of yelling from below. In a few weeks they'll be releasing an open-back headset for about $30 less, so it's a very personal preference. If you need to block out background noise, you won't find anything better. If you need to hear what's going on around you, then you should wait 500s.7.1 in and out of games. It's really well done. It's a bit hard to describe the difference, but when you use something like the GSX 100 to turn it on and off it's a stark contrast. You basically assume you're immersed in a game/video and feel like you're watching TV. I watched my programs on the computer rather than on the big Samsung in the next room. ***YOU MUST set it up manually, right click on your audio device and after selecting your headset there are setting buttons on the bottom left, select 7.1 and make sure everything is checked. The guide doesn't mention this, but if you need step-by-step instructions for other Sennheiser headsets, or even the GSX 100, you'll get it. sound quality. I won't go into technical details, but it's phenomenal, that's what Sennheiser is known for. Per. The bass is deep and the sound is so rich and smooth that you can't go back. The ear cushions can be removed (according to the instructions), but this requires some work. The mic seems short, but it doesn't affect how people hear me, other than I never hear myself breathing into it. For people who use them to connect to a standard computer sound card, the accuracy of sound source detection is lower. Many games now offer good audio fidelity even without a 7.1 emulator. If the GSX is overpriced with this headset, but you want more fidelity from a particular game, you might want to look at either a bitters sound card (which can also be expensive) or a Dolby 7.1 emulator chip to plug this headset into can then be plugged into a USB port. Such a headset *might* be considered overkill for console only (although it will work with both). However, the microphone and sound quality remain the same, so it depends on your situation.
