It has four fans and cool bulbs, but it doesn't blow very hard, just a light airflow. To be honest I don't know how useful it is, but I keep it. Things to note: It runs on USB but has an AC power connector, cable not included. It could have more airflow, but I don't have the right plug size or open terminals on my power strip, so I don't really know. The RGB lights stay on after the laptop is powered off. You have to turn it off manually or switch between the color options until it gets dark. He is calm. Very quiet. The small piece of plastic that prevents the laptop from slipping doesn't bother me, at least on my laptop. It barely rises above the keyboard's surface, doesn't hit the wrists. Not a bad buy as it more or less gets the job done, but if you're really concerned about the heat you might be looking for something more powerful.
