Overall good but be careful with the zipper

After trying many options to keep our artist son in his crib, we took a chance and ordered this crib tent. All in all this is a good article. I love that it's a nice soft white that doesn't detract from the overall decor in his room. Some of the other options I saw were very light. The mesh is very thin and lets a lot of air through. It's also high enough - my son can stand in it comfortably and doesn't feel cramped. He has no problem sleeping in it. A few things to note: First, the mattress for our crib fits VERY snugly to the tent, even firmer than if it was in the crib alone. It's not a big deal, but it does make changing sheets a little more inconvenient and tricky. Second, if you rely heavily on a baby monitor to see how your child is sleeping, this will be difficult with this tent. The white color is reflected by our camera and we can only see the vague outline of our baby. It doesn't really matter to us as he's older and we can still hear him through the monitor. Finally, and this is the biggest issue, you have to be VERY careful with the zipper. If you pull it all the way, it can easily pop out of the zipper path. It's a pain to get him to give back. The manufacturer should have installed a thicker "lock" at the bottom. Once my kid managed to stick his finger in the meeting point of two lightning bolts, grab the end and pull it all the way. Then he quickly climbed out of his crib with the torn zipper in his hand. We solved this problem by adding safety pins to the underside where the zipper tracks end. Also, if you have a little Houdini like we do, I recommend threading a safety pin through two zippers every night.
