I PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS ITEM. I paid full price for this item unlike some other 5 star reviews. I received it three days ago but still decided to leave a review. Don't worry, I'll update this review as well. My requirements for this bag: I will be studying abroad in India and have found that none of my bags are reliable enough or sufficient for my everyday life. needs. We'll be traveling a lot, and I kind of needed a bag that could do it all: give me the ability to use my hands, but still carry comfortably on my side/in front for security; Speaking of security, I wanted it to be fairly difficult for pickpockets but easily accessible for me; It also had to be extremely durable to be used for my everyday essentials. First impression: It originally arrived without any fancy packaging. Just in a plastic bag with a few generic tags. There was a faint smell of leather, but that smell has since disappeared. So I'm not sure how "authentic" the claimed genuine leather is. But it makes a solid and well-made impression. The material has a high-quality feel and the design features are top-notch. The design is ridiculously utilitarian. In addition to the main central pocket, there is a smaller pocket with magnetic closure on the front, a zipped pocket above, two small zipped side pockets and a large back pocket. You can wear it as a strap, a backpack, or even a crossbody bag (although it looks pretty fun, I find it extremely useful). I've been using it every day since I received it. I'm a full-time university student, so I've been through a lot. But only part of what I have to go through in India. So far it has been comfortable no matter how I wear it. However, the straps are flimsy when you turn it into a backpack, so making it heavier will obviously make the bag uncomfortable after a while. As for the weight of the bag itself, I don't consider it heavy, but then again, I'm used to lugging around a heavy book bag. I can see loving this bag but there are a few points. Here's what I'm keeping in mind: 1) I'm a bit worried about the hardware here. The zippers are very tight and they don't seem to be of the highest quality. 2) The same goes for the lining. While it's not the cheapest I've seen, I can imagine it tearing. However, this is easy to fix. 3) The seams bother me a bit too. Not sure how well the straps or edges have been reinforced at key stress points, like in the main bag. If they break, repairing becomes more difficult. However, the main way to combat this is to keep the bag light. I'll report on durability later, but just wanted to post this now because I'm ridiculously surprised at how many things I've been able to do. invest in it. Yesterday I carried the following items in this bag: 1) My wallet (which holds my passport and a few other items - it's one of the large rectangular types) 2) Bags of hand sanitizer, hand lotion, nasal spray and lip balm. .3) A bag of mints, gum and a bottle of ibuprofen 4) Two notepads 5) A book 6) Two Arizona Arnold Palmers iced teas 7) Charger for my cell phone 8) My giant keychain 9) DVD 10 ) Slim pencil case. Not being able to photograph this impressive feat, I wanted to share what I collected today with others. I wouldn't recommend carrying that much weight in this bag, I wanted to show how much I fit in because if you play tetris with it properly, this bag can hold almost anything you need! In the attached pictures I have shown how I managed to fit everything in it. Here's a list of what I could fit in below: 1) My dog's dog toy 2) 3x5 green laptop 3) 5.5x8.5 black laptop 4) 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Note tablet (with lid) 5) My giant set of keys 6) My wallet (black with floral print) 7) My 25 ounce S'Well water bottle 8) Large pencil case stuffed with markers and colored pencils 9) Book 10) My charger (I forgot to take it out, but also carried it to the wall) ) charger) 11) tic tac and lip balm 12) women's things that I'd rather not portray. It's no more or less than I expected, but I'm definitely happy with how much I can hold comfortably. Again, I wouldn't recommend carrying that much weight in a bag (I just needed to carry a few things from home to a friend's house for the night) but nonetheless, it was comfortable to carry in any configuration. With less weight, this bag can definitely hold the same volume as pictured here.
