Exceptional handheld vacuum

This battery powered BDL2000PL handheld vacuum beats vacuums of the past by a mile, even those that had higher voltage with replaceable batteries. These Dust Buster replacement batteries cost as much or more than a vacuum cleaner. I bought this vacuum cleaner in December 2015, now March 2018. I have no regrets buying this vacuum cleaner. The vacuum still has plenty of suction power and the battery lasts well. Probably because it no longer runs on nickel-cadmium batteries. It's nice that the plinth can be wall mounted in your laundry room where I installed ours. You will learn how to regularly clean the filter and empty the dirt drawer. It's easy to clean the dirt compartment, but it's also easy to forget to clean the filter, which takes time. A sign that the filter needs cleaning, you will notice that the engine runs faster than usual. Imagine you start the vacuum cleaner and then put your hand on the suction opening of the vacuum cleaner, the motor accelerates. B&D claims that this vacuum uses cyclonic action to disperse dirt in the pleated filter, that it picks up small dirt particles fairly well, but larger particles accumulate. at the top of the filter, right where all the dirt goes in, instead of spreading around the filter so you really have to empty the filter chamber. You may need a thin object like a screwdriver to pry out large debris in front of the filter. Sand - You will find sand falling back out of the vacuum port when you tilt it down as the check valve is not that big so it's best to just empty the mud chamber. I have an air compressor so cleaning the removable filter is easy. If there is no compressor, it can be cleaned with a garden hose sprayer or sink sprayer if you don't mind the soil getting into your sanitary sink. I would buy this vacuum cleaner again.
