All the good things said about the Waterdrop's ease of installation and great taste are true. Mine runs for about six months before it needs to be replaced and I enjoy the city's supposedly very good water supply. So after a year of use I will be installing a second replacement filter in just a month or two depending on how the pressure holds up. Buying two replacement filters a year doesn't bother me too much. But when you change the filter, remember it's a big, heavy plastic container, presumably with filters inside. I couldn't find a way to recycle the old filter block so I'm afraid to throw it in a landfill. The manufacturer's website does not seem to address the issue of disposal or recycling. I tried smashing the last one to remove the internal filter materials, but it's very heavy plastic. I guess I could see him at two. But what a disaster! I hope I'm wrong about recycling. Can someone correct me?
