We love these little chickies. The feathers come off easily but we kind of expected that. The chicks only hop when they're on a surface, so when you pick them up they stop. This means that when your child picks then up to figure out how they work, the winding mechanism isn't wasting their winding efforts and they spend less time winding them up and more time playing with them. This was an unexpected feature that we really likes. They are able to hop up a slight incline and my toddlers have dropped them/thrown them across the room (to see if they would fly lol) and they have held up so far. The plastic feet come off of the legs for some reason.they were made that way and I dont see a reason for that but either way they're easy to put back together. Two of them had sunglasses which my girls thought were hilarious.
