Review on Advanced Peplink Balance 20 Dual-WAN Router for Enhanced Internet Connectivity by Roberto Tucker

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Reliable Well-Built Multi-WAN Multifunction Router

Update: (downgraded to 4 stars) We've had an issue for the last month or so that caused the modem to hang and have to be restarted and turned off every 1-2 days, which usually happens at startup in the will be found tomorrow. . The device does not respond to ping and cannot be accessed via the web admin tool or SSH. I'm not sure what the problem is, but Peplink support has responded even though the problem hasn't been fixed yet. Original Review December 2015: Like many other reviewers, I have tried several other multi-WAN routers that support load balancing and WAN failover for 2 WAN links - cable modem and ADSL. This is my favorite to this day. It works. Configuration is easy, the web management tool is simple, and the feature set is very robust for this price point. I particularly like the ability to view real-time graphs of incoming/outgoing traffic for each WAN port. It also supports syslog output but does not allow you to set the reporting level. All 4 LAN ports 10/100/1000. We also use it for VLAN, QoS management and VPN access to our network. I've found that CPU usage (conveniently displayed in the landing page dashboard) spikes when traffic is heavy.
