YES! I fry my tofu, I fry my tempura veggies, I fry mine. . . . I use Sulu Organic Avocado Oil and cover the pan with this well-made splatter shield. Everything is crispy and delicious. The Foxel Splashguard is a durable, double-shielded, polished stainless steel product. In my opinion all parts are very strong stainless steel welded materials. I was hesitant to purchase due to the folding handle and what I consider to be the high price of the mudguard. It's so durable - I think it should last a lifetime - I'm frugal - but it's a beautiful, well thought out and engineered product. I definitely keep it in my closet. I value my belongings: hand wash with Dawn dish soap, dry thoroughly with a soft cotton towel, fold the handle over and place in a California Concepts 11 7/8" x 12-1/18" roll-on foam bag. .
