I bought these to replace the cheap ones I got at the dollar store that are cracked. The first thing to keep in mind when handling this junk is that the straws attached to the spout are about an inch longer than the bottles, so you'll have to cut a chunk off of them. I filled the container halfway with 10% bleach solution. At first I couldn't spray anything at all, so I cut off a small piece of the straw and then refilled it. The following week I took a spray bottle and when I sprayed a brown or purple liquid came out. I opened this thing up and looked at my bleach solution and it was clean. But somehow the jet mechanism injected some debris into it. I sprayed a few more times until it became clear. Then I tried spraying again, but it didn't work. Put it aside and try again next week. This time, however, he splashed brown-purple mud again. Unbelievable. How can you ruin such a syringe?
