Received my flex rim whisk today and have already checked to make sure it reaches the rim of the mixing bowl; it does. The first photo above shows the difference in the size of the holes in the size of the two edges, but I'm sure this is a patent matter. The whisk fits securely, albeit a little looser than with a kitchen mixer. It's noisier when spinning than the smaller whisk that came with my blender, but that's most likely due to the rubber strip actually making contact with the blender bowl. That's why I bought a flexible edge. The new whisk is now in the dishwasher but I don't expect any problems. If it works, I'll post an add-on π. In my opinion, the flexible rim whisk I received is a welcome addition to my Kitchenaid mixer. I would definitely consider buying another one as a gift.
