It was only after learning about CPAP machines that I realized how messy they can get. The skin on your face can become irritated if you use a dirty mask. The mini cleaning tool uses activated oxygen to clean and disinfect the entire system. The cleaning cycle is 30 minutes. During the first 20 minutes, the mini-purifier sends a stream of activated oxygen through the system. During the last 10 minutes, fresh, filtered air flows through the system, so you don't have to deal with leftover active oxygen ozone. so I couldn't test it. If you are using a heated hose, the mini cleaner includes an adapter to clean the heated hose. From what I understand, bad things like bacteria love to thrive in hot, humid places, so cleaning the entire system is important. It comes with a nice zippered carry case that allows me to slip the mini vacuum into my suitcase while protecting it from dirty socks. take it with you when you travel as it is recommended to clean your system at least once a week. You can spend hundreds of dollars on a CPAP cleaner but from what I've read this one cleans well at a much lower price. .As I'm not a medical expert, I'm only writing my review based on my own experience as a satisfied customer.
