We bought this phone a week ago to replace another Panasonic DECT phone, which worked for 5 years and the main buttons (accept/end call) stopped being pressed. Probably all DECT handsets die from this . With the advent of inexpensive mobile communications, the home telephone is little used. Most likely, it is needed to call emergency services (if suddenly there is a fire or flood), because. mobile communication in emergency cases always does not work - it is specially turned off so that there is no panic. We didn't look at the description (we were sure it was a matter of course) and were very surprised that the phone does NOT have a KEY LOCK. The old Panasonic had this feature. When small children are at home, they constantly grab the phone and accidentally poke all the buttons in a row - "trying to call America" . There is a lack of blocking. Had they known, they would have chosen a different model.
