I'd say it's fun dress for somebody who likes mixing different things. You have sort of a lingerie cut, but made out velvet. You have mostly classic dressy look, but with pockets.I think if you are thicker in the torso this dress will work for you. I'm skinny up top, heavier at the bottom and even around my hips it was a bit loose. So, I would say size small is more on medium side.If you like something that is a bit outside your typical idea of an evening dress then you might find it in this dress. Plus the price is crazy good
