This console seems very cheap. On the plus side, accessing the operating system is a bit easier than some of the consoles I've tried, and the controls aren't terrible. You can play with that. You can also add your games to the mini SD and even use your own card. The select button works like a back button, which is very convenient. The screen is pretty good for a device of this class. On the other hand, the game selection is the worst I've ever seen on a mini console. Many games have titles in Chinese or partly in Chinese. Overall, I don't think this console offers a good experience out of the box, but if you don't mind adding a little work by adding your own roms, you could. OK. I don't know if the UI is accessible enough for a child to use easily and I don't think a child would be entertained by a poor selection of games.
