Too fine - mashed ginger
I bought this to replace my microplane and I like the microplane grill better than this one. This will make the fresh ginger runny while using the Microplane will give you a harder grated ginger. Due to the extra length, it doesn't fit in my drawer like my microplane and I think I'll just order another original microplane. It works well and I like the cover, but I'm not happy with what it does with fresh ginger.
