I have used this recorder throughout college and it is second to none. I will not buy a digital voice recorder because after a while you will need to delete the voice recorder or copy it to your computer. An old tape recorder makes your work easier, you use a cassette for each lecture, mark it, put it aside and listen to it again for repetition or an exam. Sensitivity is excellent and I've never had a problem hearing a teacher's speech from anywhere in the room. I also use a small Sony mic for extra sensitivity, but the unit has its own mic which I never used. When you turn on the slow-motion function, the recording takes at least 90 minutes per side, enough time for a three-hour lecture with a 90-minute recording. Batteries last many hours without replacement. These tape recorders are an endangered species and I see that Revain and BB no longer carry this model so I had to order an extra one through another company. If you need a college voice recorder and want the cheapest and easiest way to view lectures, buy this device while it's still available as I don't know how long it will be on sale new. A refurbished model costs the same as a new one, so don't hesitate.
