The cover is a little tight which makes it difficult to attach and detach, but you really only have to do it once each time, so it's ok. As in many cases, a piece of rigid foam is missing that abuts the end of the drive to ensure it fits snugly into the connector on the other end, but I fixed that by using a piece of rigid foam and attaching it to the connector. the end of the cover on double-sided tape. Proper trimming ensures that when the cover is pushed all the way down, it is just enough to prevent the drive from sliding back and out of the slot. I also used the thicker of the two pieces of Styrofoam provided on the lid to hold the disc in place. Every piece of foam (mine and hers) ensures the drive stays where it's supposed to be and doesn't come loose from the connector. After the lid was up, I taped a small piece of clear tape to the seam of the lid to ensure the lid didn't slide back and detach. I'm going to buy some small, transparent rubber sticks with "legs" to attach to the bottom of the case (one at each corner). Overall I am very happy with this case. This is the second ORICO case I've bought, the first being model #2189U3. I have to say that I like this one better. I will be buying another one of these as I still have a spare drive. I'll take the red one this time. These cases are a great way to recycle unused laptop drives. Edit: I bought a second case a week later and this time it was red. For some reason this doesn't like my USB 3.0 ports on the front. The hard drive is locked. The hard drive itself works fine in other cases and in those other cases with front USB ports, but not in this new case. However, it works well with the USB 3.0 ports on the back of the motherboard. The previous case I have works with the front USB ports and it's exactly the same model, just blue instead of red. So the new case works, but seems picky about which ports it wants to work with. I'm assuming the case is a controller issue. Haven't tried it with my laptop or notebook yet, but I will. I have a feeling these two will be fine. The case was inexpensive so I'm not too worried about replacing it and it still works with the rear ports. I should note that the front USB 3.0 ports on my desktop are 3rd party ports. I used a Tek Republic TIU-3000 front panel USB 3.0 hub and a Mailiya PCIU32P01 PCI-E card. This is the first product I have had trouble using these front connectors which I have been using for almost a year. Again, this only applies to the new red case, not the blue one I bought last week, and not the other ORICO case I bought last month. These two work perfectly.
