I bought these for my bathroom as I didn't want anything to be plugged into an outlet or run on battery power. I like the convenience of charging them. I put them in the bathroom, kitchen and gym. All three were installed about 2-3 weeks ago and have not had to be charged. The amount of light is perfect for those late bathroom visits and getting up for a glass of water. Motion sensor available. Sometimes I had to raise my hands to turn it back on. I like that you can set it to automatic and choose the brightness. The flashlights fully charged in about an hour (or less) and the indicator glows green when fully charged. Since I didn't have to charge it, I don't know if it will alert you when a charge is needed. All in all, I'm very happy with it and would recommend it :)
