Review on 🎧 1Mii HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver for Home Stereo with Long Range Bluetooth Audio Adapter, Audiophile DAC, aptX HD & LDAC – Ideal for AV Receiver or Stereo Amplifier: Lavaudio DS200Pro by Brent Cole

Very happy to get the Lavaudio HiFi Bluetooth adapter. spends a lot of time listening to different audio formats through different playback options (headphones, computer speakers, high-quality audio speakers, etc.). My wife is a professional musician, so we often listen to different mixes and masters together, again from different sources, at home or in the studio. Lavaudio manufactures DS200Pro and is a subsidiary of 1Mii. I also have a 1Mii BO3 Pro which is a decent Bluetooth receiver and transmitter combo. When watching movies with a projector, I use the 1Mii BO3 Pro to receive audio from my iMac wirelessly (it's automatically disconnected from the HDMI output that sends the video to the projector). Living in an apartment in NYC is great because I always have to compromise on space and furnishings and that gives me a lot of flexibility. In terms of latency issues, I've never had a problem watching movies with the 1Mii BO3 Pro and it works well as a transmitter when I need to put on my headphones and watch a movie. But there have always been some minor but noticeable audio quality issues. of 1Mii, especially when broadcasting in higher quality, as well as in everyday audio and video applications. When the BO3 Pro plays lossless files, there are latency issues, some dropouts that appear as small pops and lags, and loss of clarity. Laaudio DS200 Pro easily solves all these problems. Clarity and dynamic range, excellent sound are noticeable. I am impressed! Music: I tested the DS200 Pro alongside the BO3 Pro and played the same four tracks by Johan Johannsson, which have good range, dynamics, and acoustic and electronic instruments. I used FLAC files streamed from a VLC player from my iMac to any Bluetooth receiver and a plain old Yamaha CR-450 (nothing special!) and from two Paradigm Monitor SE Atom speakers. I didn't spend a lot of money on this setup. I also streamed music from Bandcamp using my Google Pixel 4a (which doesn't support 96k sample rate, but listened anyway. However, it's recommended to disable LDAC in the Bluetooth menu if your phone doesn't support 96k.) Everything was fine with this attitude. I don't think I'll be using it too much, so I switched to it pretty quickly. Video streaming: I tested the DS200 Pro and BO3 Pro side by side again. I streamed "Boyhood" from the Criterion Collection. It has a quick intro by Coldplay, some dialogue about the music, and then some direct dialogue in the car. I wanted to check for latency issues and see what else I noticed. Firstly the DS200 Pro has a volume level that I will hear for the first time, whereas with the BO3 Pro I've always had to fiddle with the volume levels on my computer, the BO3 unit itself and my amp and for some reason it never sounded. remained stable. I don't know why and I don't care, I just know that in BO3 Pro I used to get annoyed about having to dial a number every time. Everything is different with the DS200 Pro - there are no problems with the volume settings. No latency issues on any device. Again, the DS200 Pro delivers significantly better sound, even when not playing a lossless streaming file. In this case, it wasn't the music itself in the film or the dialogue itself, but rather that I felt I could hear the audio mix from the film better. For example, an in-car audio mixer would spend a lot of time mixing car sounds when the characters are talking, a random bird in a tree when they're at a stop sign, etc. It was there and delivered evenly. Finally, I tested the two units with the Blade Runner DVD to see how they handled the rumble and electronics of the Vangelis soundtrack with explosions and sound effects. Just the intro sequence and cut to the first scene with dialogue. Again, the DS200 Pro does it all without having to fiddle with the volume controls - it just feels smoother than the BO3 Pro when it counts. With the BO3 Pro I really always turned the volume up and down a lot, with the DS200 Pro that wasn't a problem so far. Big! Of course, none of them had sync lag issues. Other good things about the DS200 Pro: - Start: When you turn on the DS200 Pro, it just powers on. You don't have to hear that annoying start-up ping that many Bluetooth devices play, and there's no connection beep - they drive me nuts for some reason, and they often sound at a much higher volume than what I'm about to play. .-Size/Features: DS200 Pro is 50% smaller than BO3 Pro and has only one antenna. Fewer indicators and features to watch out for - BO3 Pro will happily let you know if you're streaming SBC, AptX, etc - just a blue indicator on the front of the DS200 Pro. Various cinch, digital output and power pack 5 V. The cable is a bit short for the power pack. The RCA connectors on the back of the DS200 Pro are gold plated and have a nice feel. There are few instructions, they are enough to connect. If you are using your phone for streaming and it does not support the 96000 sample rate, it is recommended to open the Bluetooth menu and disable LDAC. I have a Google Pixel 4a and it doesn't support 96k sample rate so I did that. I streamed music from Bandcamp, no problem. One last note compared to BO3 Pro. If you leave the BO3 Pro on, a low, high-pitched buzzing can often be heard through the speakers. This always bothered me, no need to ruin the speakers! But I'm definitely not hearing that from the DS200 Pro. So in general everything that annoyed me about the BO3 Pro doesn't show up in the DS200 Pro - which is great! These are my initials for the DS200 Pro. Over the next few weeks I plan to use it quite a bit - looking forward to checking out my lossless audio files again and enjoying the music! But I also plan on keeping my BO3 Pro in case I need a Bluetooth transmitter. And I can supplement this review with additional information.
