Husband snores and refuses to wear CPAP. I can't sleep in a quiet room without a TV or next to my husband who sounds like a freight train right next to me. I HATE white noise too. Together with my sleep app, these in-ear headphones accompany me every night. I sleep on my side and they are surprisingly comfortable, I can't feel them in my ears. I set my sleep app to play the background combination of music, ocean and river for 10 hours once the story is complete. I still hear my husband snoring but not as badly so I can FINALLY sleep in the same bed with him again. The only downside to these headphones is the cable. I wish they were wireless somehow and stayed in my ears without a headband. Several times I woke up somewhat tangled in the cord, but never to the point where it was wrapped tightly around my neck.
