Review on 🍽️ GE JES1072SHSS Microwave Oven: Compact, 0.7 cu ft Capacity, 700 Watts, Stainless Steel for Countertop or Dorm Room by Anthony Robichaud

Too small for most counters. Worked 3 months and caught fire. The problem was with the plastic device (turntable shaft) that rotates the glass top. This item is defective. I turned on the microwave today and noticed a horrible smell, like burning rubber - there was black smoke inside and I saw a small flame. I stopped it and of course unplugged it and opened the door - I had to ventilate the kitchen and house for several hours because the smell of burnt plastic was very strong. I'm surprised because it's a GE product and I've never experienced anything like this from GE. I've called GE (their website is very well done and their customer service is excellent) and I'm about to file a report. Now I look down and see that this happened to someone else. I will include this in my report. I've filed a "case" with GE - and maybe they'll redesign this turntable shaft because it's faulty.
