When my cat was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease, I wanted to do whatever it took to relieve her kidneys. Four months ago I bought Kidney Support. I later found out that cats with kidney problems get sick, so they often get fussy and only want really tasty food. In addition to the Temptation treats, my cat loves the Hartz Squeeze Up Sauce. I started mixing half a pump of Kidney Support into the sauce. To my delight, she licked it all off! Over time, I noticed that along with her temptations, she also began to eat more prescription dry kidney formula. The biggest change, however, happened last month. My cat now always eats REAL food and prefers it to treats. I mix half a can of Salmon Friskies wet food with a bag of Fancy Feast Broth and a full serving of Kidney Support. She eats everything every day! Also, she now eats a WHOLE glass a day (mixed with broth and kidney support). My cat hasn't eaten the recommended daily portion for years! She still pees a lot, so I know the kidney failure is still there, but she's also gained half a pound. I can't stop kidney disease, but I think helping the kidneys helps. Her diet has definitely improved. She hardly eats treats anymore. While a can of food, two servings of broth, and gravy costs about $3 a day, it's worth getting back to knowing what she's eating.
