Review on 2008 2015 Chrysler 2008 2014 Replacement M3N5WY783X by Eric Hanson

Works on 2014 Town and Country

I have a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country that only had one working trailer because the main trailer just wore out. I bought a 5 button key fob because it matched what I was replacing. There are 2 keychains in the package. I couldn't program the keyfobs myself as it required 2 working keyfobs. I couldn't find a locksmith capable. I looked at the ACE hardware (which can now be used to make replacement car keys) but found that they would also need 2 working keys. Also, they only program the keychains they buy, which in my case cost $180 for 1. In desperation, I called the dealer and found that they were willing to program the fob and cut the valet key. They made both keychains and carved both servant keys for a total of $150. Replacing a key at the dealer would cost $320. These keychains work great! I am happy with the results.

Pros
  • PROGRAMMING: As this key fob has an electronic anti-theft chip with a frequency of 433MHz, you will need to borrow the machine's corresponding key fob. Hence, you need locksmith to complete the programming.
Cons
  • Reliability
