Honda LOCK ASSEMBLY, GLOVE BOX (ATLAS GRAY) is Honda stock code 77540-SHJ-A01ZE. I would verify the part needed locally through your Honda dealer using your VIN number. To remove the lock to install the replacement part you will need to remove the C-clip after removing the plastic casing around the lock. This is very easy to do, as you can see in the pictures, with needle-nosed pliers. Unfortunately, Revain doesn't allow you to place images in an order, so you'll have to tinker around, but you'll get the idea. Once removed, insert the lock into a new replacement glove box lock and snap the plastic piece back into place. Reinstall two screws in the glove box and you're done. SIDE NOTE - quick fix: I used a drill to make a small hole in the plastic to allow the screw to take the place of the broken plastic part. . It will probably work fine, but since I didn't straighten the threads, it will sag a bit. However, for a quick fix, everything worked fine while I waited locally for $20 parts from Honda Parts. Much luck! 4 stars due to initially poor construction from Honda. Of course, if the glove compartment were less full, that would also help prevent it from breaking.
