Review on Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Slim Pouch (A V STRIPE): Your Ultimate Secure Travel Companion by Kristin Morris

Although I had read reviews of cheap hardware and poor workmanship there were some good ones so I decided to try this Travelon Slim Pouch as a small travel wallet was really all I wanted . At first it seemed to work very well. The neutral color went with everything and the interior is bright coral instead of black so you can easily see what's in your bag. The cut-resistant cable in the strap and the cut-resistant mesh on the bottom, as well as the RFID blocking in the card slots, gave me peace of mind. It comes with a tiny LED inside, which really came in handy when we couldn't read the fine print on something in a dark room. In addition to the credit card slots, it has external compartments as well as an internal zip pocket for extra protection of your money. In this relatively small bag, I was able to carry a cell phone with charging cable and plug, a thin external charger and cable, a passport, a pack of tissues, disinfectant and bug wipes, lip balm, a pack of breath mints, aspirin, and a few other small loose items - and it wasn't too stuffed - everything fitted well. There are a few annoying things about the wallet - the outer flap pocket has a magnetic closure which is small and flimsy - you need to keep it lined. just to close it - often shifted and opened. The zip tie has a tendency to coil up and you need to uncoil it. But overall it was a great wallet and I was glad I got a 'good' one - until the spring-loaded safety catch on the side that keeps the main zip secure broke nine days into my trip abroad. As with many negative reviews, the hardware is cheap and doesn't hold water. I was lucky that it was the safety latch that broke during my trip and not the hardware holding the shoulder strap in place. I'm returning it before anything else falls apart so I wouldn't use it on a second trip. I am very disappointed as this wallet promised to be great. Maybe if enough people complain, Travelon can up their game and start using higher quality components. If they improve and start making a more reliable product I will buy it again. Until.
