One of Two Died In Four Months

Not real happy. I ordered two May 25th of this year, and one died just a few day past being four months old, stranding our 9 y/o grandson, who had to push his quad home from my neighbor's property where he was riding. The other one is still in good shape but that quad is not used nearly as much as the one that died. When I pulled the seat off the bike, the sealed lid on the top of the battery had come off and several of the caps over the fill holes on the cells were missing and corrosive material had leaked out onto the top of the battery and in the battery well on the little quad. The digital display has also shorted. Am trying to contact the company now for a replacement battery.will update this post when I get a response.Update 10/17/17 - I returned the defective battery. Had to pay for return shipping but used their $6.50 USPS pre-paid label offer on their website to save money. They acknowledged receipt of the battery and am awaiting a replacement, which I should have never asked for, because in the interim I ordered another YTX5L-BS from Chrome Battery via Walmart because I didn't want the grandkids to have to wait for the replacement in order to continue using their mini-quad. The brand new battery was DOA, would not charge, and so now I am in the loop of having to return this one.this time for a refund, but am in an exchange of emails over cost of return.

Pros
  • ‎Chrome Battery
Cons
  • Unreliable if not installed and used correctly
