The firmware in this product is terrible and buggy. When I plug this device in, it broadcasts and works properly, but I can't edit the settings after I enter the default broadcast, so I have to use my DHCP table to get an IP address and access it from the main network ( once after you configure it, you can then invoke it from a network broadcast). This device has good range and transmission speed and seems to be performing as expected from a guest hotspot. I wish it had a built in guest login screen (like the higher end Linksys models) so the guest you need can configure the VLAN and use that route. My biggest problem is the firmware! The firmware uploaded to it did not allow me to broadcast more than one network. I downloaded the latest version, installed it and couldn't change any settings. All the settings were there, but they were all default or unselected, and if you change it, it's not saved (I ordered 4 of these and tested this issue on 2). I tried each version from the firmware loading screen and the only one that worked for me (correct, allowed changing settings and multiple SSIDs) was WAP4410N-fw-2.0.2.1-K9. Tried everything from the latest (September 2012) to this version which is kinda the lowest but newer than what was in the system. This system would be better if the firmware only worked! I don't have to spend two hours setting up an access point (it should be pretty easy). I also wish it had a better guest setup (like the Linksys higher-end models where you could just select a guest and have a separate network). After all, they have good range and proper transmission, but firmware issues stand in the way of this inexpensive and proven proprietary system!
