Doesn't work with my Viewsonic monitor and M1 Mac

Well it seems to work but the text is so pixelated it's almost unreadable and there is no resolution in the monitor's control panel to see to fix the problem. I get an image but it's terrible quality from a monitor that worked fine on my old iMac. Either the computer or the operating system or the monitor is not compatible. The quality of the product is good but it doesn't suit me. I had to switch to the VGA input to be able to use the monitor again.
