Bought as a replacement for bath toys. I bought for a 3 year old child. They have her attention for a few minutes and she will play with them from time to time. They don't stick well to the side wall of the bath. Most of the time, when you're about to spin one to spin it all, one or two will pop out. They are elegant in that they show the connection of gears, but for that they have to work. The first night we taped them to the side of the tub and started hearing something falling from the back of the house. Investigated and found that all but one of the gears had fallen out of the bath in anticipation of the next bath. Honestly I would buy something more expensive. Comes with 5 gears and they basically become fantasy toys in the water as they fall.
