I bought exclusively for Dendy, Sega, Super Nintendo retro games through PC emulators. I also bought an Xbox wireless adapter on Ali Express. I purchased it specifically for Windows 7. Everything works fine without any dancing with a tambourine. Firewood was installed automatically, you do not need to install anything manually. Everything works great. But ergonomics for me personally is not very good. Because In retro games, the D-pad is mainly used, then the asymmetric arrangement of the sticks made itself felt. It is inconvenient to use the cross, the thumb is too bent down and to the side. I thought it would not be critical, but no. As for the main buttons on the right side of the gamepad, for me personally, again, it's not very convenient. My hands are slightly larger than average. In order not to stick out the thumb to the side again. you have to shift the coverage to the bottom of the gamepad in order to comfortably press the buttons. As a result, you hold the entire gamepad closer to the tips. Gently so, in a serious way you won’t grasp it :) It would be more convenient with longer holders. As a former owner of the first ancient Sony PS, I don’t remember having such problems. But the Sony PS4v2 did not dare to buy a gamepad. Firstly, on average more expensive by 500. Secondly, it has DirectInput. Although it doesn’t matter for retro games, it’s still better to have a universal gamepad for modern games. Thirdly, there may be problems with wireless communication, tk. it uses Bluetooth standard frequency 2.4GHz. The Xbox, in conjunction with a wireless adapter, has an operating frequency of 5 GHz. The less used channel, there will be less interference. For playing on a TV at a distance of 5.5 m from a PC, surprises with communication are useless to me. If I now knew for sure that the PS4 would fit in my hand as it should, then perhaps I would choose it. Don't get me wrong, I lowered the gamepad score based on PERSONAL feelings (would be longer holders), as well as OBJECTIVES (retro gaming - cross). With a cross, it’s clear that the PS4 has a better location. But I'm not sure about the holders, perhaps they will also be short for me.
