It was a surprise how perfectly this lead fits my life. The options for length adjustment is a lifesaver while training my puppy and for walks in areas with more congestion. The waist option clip has given aid to training as both hands are free yet my dog is fully on leash. Early one it was a chew option for him but just a few small nips have not deteriorated the strength of the lead - no fraying or tearing at those points at all and now the growth on the dog and increase lunges from time to time, the leash is like new, with a nice worn look. Oh, and the handle is padded slightly for comfort - actually I think it is nicely padded & comfortable, but it is slight. This is by far my favorite leash - strength, length options with waist belt option, overall length, comfort.
