Let me just say that I recently used this product when I was learning how to shave. It works out? Yes. Do I have any disappointments about this? Yes. Is that a great offer? Yes. 100 blades, based on one shave every 3 days (through hair, across and against each other) That's about the equivalent of a full calendar year. What's the price. It's unbeatable. Even if I bought a DOVO and a sling I would still save money compared to today's 5x razors. (which I intend to do when I have more gear) So what's the problem? There is no tension at all in the pivot. I'm not sure if it's specifically designed that way, but it just seems to me that there must be some kind of tension. It wouldn't be enough to take off a star. But there is definitely a locking system. First of all, there is only one way the shutter system closes, as the shutter prevents you from going the other way. That's the problem. The Razor Limiters are on the other side. That means when you close it's a sliding motion forward, because that's the way it's supposed to be. So you put the razor over the notches (which hold the blade in place) and then put the clasp over the notches and the razor. The problem is that the razor doesn't automatically fit into the notches. You would have to press and align the blade against it before closing it. It's just bad mechanics. This could be solved by simply flipping the clasp to the other side. The last thing you need is an uneven single blade shaving (read: slicing if the angle is wrong) your face. Finally, it's a great learning tool that teaches you to respect art and be careful. In truth, it might be worth the hassle.
