Not a silly toy

Very often, adult versions of children's tools are as useful as "vacuum cleaners" are for toddlers, simply teaching children that their play isn't really expected to produce a useful result. THIS IS NOT A STUPID TOY. The loom looks very well made and my 5 year old niece got to work quickly. She has a love for all things textile and this was the perfect Christmas present for her as she was fascinated by my adult spinning and weaving adventures. I can't wait to see what she creates next year on her own fully functional little baby sized loom with real wooden shuttles. If she sticks around long enough, I might have to buy a full size table loom in a few years, but it's a great way to give her a taste of the craft in a size that's just right for her little hands.
