This player obviously doesn't have the best sound quality, but that goes without saying. But it's good enough and sounds decent. It's loud enough to listen to loud music while lounging, cleaning, etc. But not loud enough if you want it to be for a party or something. daughter loves it. Base without bottom. These are the two side pieces and then the two bottom pieces. The floor is open. And he gets up. The panels rest on two bases that I can call open bottom rails. I really hope that makes sense. I'm sure it's unlikely. But just understand that you're not going to get a big, solid piece in the shape of a coaster with a bottom. You can use it for LPs, but if you want to use it for CDs as well, or even want to put a small plant or something on a stand next to the LPs, it won't work. Its size is just right for the records to lean on the sides and then rest on the two bottom rails. Overall the turntable and stand are perfect for my 15 year old daughter. She loves it! She said it was her best Easter basket. Because I put the player, stand and some records in a big box and that was their Easter basket. She hasn't tried connecting to her via Bluetooth yet. But I will update my review of this part whenever this is the case.
