Review on 🧹 Zero Waste Cleaning: Quick-Loop Mop Head (Washable Cloth/Microfiber) for Mopping & Dusting by Nikki Castro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sustainable, efficient and cool!

Let me start by saying I hate wipes. I didn't have a mop. My 4 year old son asked me what a mop was and I didn't know how to explain it to him. I haven't had a mop in decades. We have a lot of uncarpeted surfaces - I sweep them and use a damp cloth. Everything was good. Then we got a dog and I had to buy a mop. What I didn't want: a heavy, smelly rope wiper that couldn't be cleaned. Wasteful dump, swiffer or other "flat mops" with artificially flavored cleaners. A plastic-filled sponge mop for which manufacturers will inevitably stop producing interchangeable nozzles, further encouraging the ridiculous consumption of materials. A hospital grade sanitizing steam mop - I don't think it's great or even necessary to kill all the germs in our home. Insert the mop with a quick loop. Why I like it: I can use the rags I already have! I can use my homemade cleaning products with no waste! I no longer have to buy "accessories" or "refills"! It is made at home in the USA by a kind person/small business owner with a beautiful and elegant simple patent. Why you should get this: You'll never buy a replacement device again. Use a dry microfiber cloth to collect all dust, including from the fan. A wet rag will do the rest. It's sustainable, zero waste, plastic free and will last a lifetime. I covered the wood with tung oil to keep it looking good. You can leave it unfinished if you wish - it will survive everything else anyway. Best of all, you're supporting the great American small business owner. I have nothing to do with this company or this product. I am not paid for my honest review. I came across this article on a zero waste blog and had a very positive interaction with the owner. You should get one now!
