I bought this because my 2 little rats quickly outgrew their tiered wire cage and started throwing their bedding and droppings all over the floor. The product arrived very well packaged. I unboxed and assembled it myself - it would have been easier if another person was there as the wire cage is actually one large piece that needs to be folded into shape when assembled. You'll also need plenty of room to unroll the wire part. I read many reviews that assembly was a problem, but I had no problems. Installing shelves and accessories was a chore though, I won't lie. The plastic tabs on the "closure" are very thin, one broke off. It took me about 3 attempts to get the shelves into the cage for all the accessories to work. The diagram in the instructions doesn't help much with placement so I just covered it up. My rats liked it and started running and climbing. One even squeaked excitedly or two. The shelves are curved so slightly in the middle that clumps of urine and faeces roll off to the side and are caught in a channel. To clean, I take a baby wipe and clean out this little gutter (around the shelf). Litter isn't easy to come by, so I put my rats in their toy balls and let them freak out the dog while I remove the wire cage (very easy) and scoop it out. Very glad I bought this.
