As a previous reviewer noted, the spirit level was not packaged very well. It arrived in one of those wrapped boxes that offered little protection. However, mine arrived undamaged. I haven't had any experience with Precision Levels before, but from what I've seen so far, this one will likely produce similar results to the more expensive options. The level is incredibly sensitive and it takes some effort to calibrate, but once you do you'll find that whatever you level on it is pretty much the smoothest thing you've ever touched. I used it to align the base of the CNC machine and the rails. For that purpose it turned out to be way beyond my needs and the included box should protect the level until the next time I need it. swing back and forth if the surface to be measured is not perfectly flat. Although this hasn't been a problem in my experience. Also, the round plastic side covers look like they were designed to use an o-ring, although it wasn't included. Without them, covers don't fit perfectly and sometimes fall out. Let's see if adding small o-rings helps.
