I really like that the door guard is not visible on the door. I really like that it's easy to trim to fit the small area of the door my dog is scratching to enter the room. I found it difficult to put the protective film in the right place and had to take it off several times to change position and each time it ripped off some of the wood and stain which made me very upset because the advert said it was easily removed and will not remove paint or wood. I didn't want to pull it out again, so it's not quite right on my door, which you don't notice unless you look very closely, because you can't see the guard on the door unless you get really close and watch.
