I bought 2 of these as a birthday gift, I was happy to see that they come with a rechargeable battery and even a charging cable. I didn't check but thought I'd have to buy batteries before the girls could use them, but I liked that I didn't need them. The girls opened the boxes and got out their new jars, they love the RGB lighting and how they can insert whatever pen they chose to open the jar and get their money. I would recommend this purchase to anyone looking for a bench for their children. I would buy again.
