Review on 🔧 Dorman 911-242 EGR Valve for Optimal Performance in Select Models by George Hersey

I like the fact that it comes with new gaskets and screws. I've used Dorman products before with no problems so I didn't do my homework before purchasing this for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler 3.8. Installation is a pain but I knew it before I started. After installing it I reset CEL thinking I was ready for a few more years. After no more than 3 months, CEL began to appear intermittently. After about 6 months, the CEL caught fire and continued to show the P0406 trouble code. Just replaced this with a standard EGV1149 engine product https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0097W74XS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Let's hope the Standard is better built than the Dorman, because it can't be much worse.
